Eagan, MN – The Angie Craig for Congress campaign has released two new ads highlighting Craig's commitment to working across the aisle and supporting Minnesota families. In Ask, released on Saturday, Craig recaps her conversations with Second District families and asks the viewer to support her campaign. Solved, released on Monday, features Craig discussing core campaign issues with Republican and Independent voters over a beer.
Both ads highlight the need to get special interests out of Washington, lower the cost of healthcare and ensure all families who are willing to work hard have a shot at success.
“Sometimes our politics can seem really petty and small, but I still believe in our ability to come together to make big changes,” Craig says in Ask. “I know what we can do when we work together.”
In Solved, several Republicans express disappointment in Congressman Jason Lewis, who voted for the American Health Care Act (AHCA). The AHCA would have gutted protections that allowed people with pre-existing conditions to have access to affordable health insurance. Lewis has taken nearly $100,000 from Wall Street interests, while voting for a tax bill which gave more than 80 percent of its tax breaks to large corporations and the wealthiest five percent of Americans.
“It really shouldn't matter if it's a Democratic or a Republican idea," Craig says in Solved. "If it's a good idea we ought to do it, like lowering the cost of healthcare."
The ads, which are running on cable, broadcast television and digital streaming services, are available to view here and here.
Craig is a former journalist and healthcare leader who lives with her wife and four sons in Eagan. She is challenging Representative Jason Lewis in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District. Please visit angiecraig.com to learn more.
