Letter to the Editor: Angie Craig's Announcement

As a teacher with friends in the 2nd District, I was interested in Angie Craig’s announcement that she will run again in 2018. I discovered Angie’s single mom spent many a night after work, studying hard to be able to complete her degree in education to become a teacher. As a result, she is continuing to fight for more affordable college for people in the district.

Angie Craig seems focused on listening to voters first and taking public counsel wisely. In addition, my friends say she’s been working to bring down health care costs for Minnesotans. She would likely work to include more, not fewer people in health care coverage. My friends say she’ll fight to bring back jobs to the U.S., and that she’s willing to listen to good ideas from any political spectrum on these points. I understand she lives in the district, and really wants to represent her neighbors. I see why my friends are interested in her.
