Eagan, MN – Today, Angie Craig, who is challenging Rep. Jason Lewis in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District, released the following statement in response to Rep. Jason Lewis's newly discovered remarks on same sex couples.

"My oldest son Josh heard Jason Lewis’s newly discovered comments attacking families like ours this morning and wanted to take the opportunity to say something. Jason Lewis's comments do not represent Minnesota values and his votes in Congress are even more offensive. I will not stand for this abhorrent rhetoric - and neither will the voters of the Second Congressional District. I have fought for my family and the right to adopt Josh. My four sons are amazing young men and I am so damn proud to be their mom - it's the most important job I'll ever have. In Congress, I will fight for all families as hard as I fought for my own."

Craig is a former journalist and healthcare leader who lives with her wife and four sons in Eagan. Please visit angiecraig.com to learn more.
